Job Locations: Shanghai/Nanjing, China

Department: Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Service Department

Responsibilities

  • Lead the research and services of in vitro ADME studies (including CYP inhibition and induction, CYP phenotyping, and UGT phenotyping, etc).
  • Provide scientific guidance to DMPK personnel on the above areas
  • Manage daily operation of the group
  • Prepare protocol, cost analysis, and quotation suggestion for new business
  • May serve as DMPK representative in integrated program
  • Provide business development strategy and conduct process improvement/optimization
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations of WuXi AppTec
  • Potentially manage a team with accountabilities to develop talents and to expand the team
  • Allocate resource to projects and supervise all on-going projects to ensure data quality and on-time delivery. Be able to build and establish good relationship with client via strong scientific knowledge and professional people skills

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical/life sciences with strong understanding of drug metabolism enzymes, drug-drug interaction is required. 
  • Working knowledge of lab automation, pharmacokinetic data analysis, and interpretation of DMPK properties relevant to drug development.
  • Working knowledge of DMPK related regulations and regulatory guidelines from ICH, FDA, EMA, and NMPA.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese 
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
