Experience / Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Arts and Sciences; Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years experience working in a GLP-regulated laboratory
- 2-3 years experience working in a sample shipping/receiving environment or related field desirable
- Any similar combination of education and experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Knowledge of commonly used shipping/receiving and safety concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multitasking environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills and attention to detail
- Computer skills: working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Watson LIMS knowledge a plus
- Familiarity with and adherence to regulatory guidelines consistent with WuXi requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in Lab setting with exposure to Biohazards / Chemicals
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
- Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels
- Ability to Stand /Sit for long periods of time
- Ability to Lift 20 lbs routinely
- Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach
- Ability to push/pull 20 lbs routinely
- Clarity of Vision
- Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions
- Ability to work in variable temperatures room temperature to freezing
