Overview

Xenobiotic Laboratories (XBL), a subsidiary of the Lab Testing Division of WuXi AppTec, Inc., is a leading contract research laboratory specializing in small and large molecule Bioanalytical, drug metabolism, and pharmacokinetic services to the pharmaceutical, animal health and agrochemical industries.  

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads a LC-MS method development team.   Ensures optimum personnel performance through leading by example, motivation, and performance recognition.
  • Responsible for evaluating new technology in the field of bioanalysis with LC-MS analysis.
  • Condicts LC-MS bioanalytical related studies and duties: Plans, schedules, and coordinates studies with team member and Sponsors.  Develops, improves, and validates LC-MS quantitation methods according to FDA Guidance.  Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots LC-MS systems.
  • Compiles, records, calculates, and analyzes data in accordance with accepted standards and practices.  Interprets significance of results and draws conclusions.
  • Writes comprehensive reports, recommending application of finings, and presents clear and concise oral reports of processes and accomplishments.
  • Maintains close professional contact with updated regulatory guidance and industry developments in all critical areas to ensure that laboratory functions operate at state of the art level and are compliant with all pertinent Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience / Training / Education:

  • MS or Ph.D. degree in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline, or equivalent
  • 6-8 years of hands-on industrial experience with LC/MS method development and validation in a GLP facility. At least 2 years of people management experience in the bioanalytical field, or equivalent.
