Overview

This position provides administrative and project support to the St. Paul and Atlanta sites, and the St. Paul (STP) and Atlanta (ATL) HR Business Partners.   Performs various human resources duties in areas such as new hire orientation, on-site employee relations, HR recordkeeping, Worker’s Compensation filing and other special projects. Serves as first contact for employees to answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, as a shared responsibility with Recruiting, the New Employee Orientation and onboarding (send out notifications key internal staff and to new hires, gather and organize materials), including putting together New Employee Orientation binders.
  • Facilitate, as a shared responsibility with Recruiting, New Employee Orientation including company and HR overview presentations, and the Employee Handbook overview as needed.
  • Creates monthly communication regarding new hires and career pathing.
  • Field routine questions and request from employees.
  • Input employee change data, other HRIS data entry & audit system as needed.
  • Maintain employee files and records ensuring completeness.
  • Administer termination process for STP including notification to QA, Front Desk and Safety to ensure prompt and accurate database entry. May assist with ATL termination process.
  • Coordinate Service Award Program.
  • Update STP & ATL org charts on a monthly basis.
  • Enter exit interview data and new hire interview data.
  • Assists with the administration of worker’s compensation (WC) and/or safety paperwork including First Report of Injury submittals and coordination with WC vendor. Assist Safety Officer as needed.
  • Maintain and organize STP and ATL job descriptions.
  • Act as back-up for recruiting coordinator and assist the recruiting team as needed.
  • Assists in various HR processes and initiatives.
  • Assist in facilitating the performance review processes and act as administrative support for the performance management system.
  • Input new hires & update changes in performance management system.
  • Assist with Activities Committee & Safety Committee.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school Degree required. AA degree or 4-year degree with focus on HF or HRIS is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience providing administrative support to an HR function
  • Previous experience, which has built foundational knowledge of HR processes & HR compliance requirements.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, with shifting priorities in a high change work environment is required.
  • Strong detail orientation with well-developed organization skills in order to operate with both speed and accuracy.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and ATS and the ability to accurately maintain and improve processes and systems.
  • Proficient computer skills & at least intermediate experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, Visio) required.
