  • Overview

    Develops Policy, strategy, and operations for all business unit procurement; including sourcing, negotiating long-term strategic contracts, leading business review meetings and steering teams with senior executives, establishing and controlling performance metrics for strategic accounts, and directing efforts for improvement activities across the strategic suppliers.


    • Create and drive business unit direct and indirect procurement strategy.
    • Provide leadership on all aspects of procurement strategy and practice to inform business planning and action, encourage innovative approaches and enhance value through improved procurement efficiency and outcomes.
    • Develop and implement overarching policies, procedures, systems, structures and frameworks for all procurement related activities to deliver best proactive procurement and contract management solutions.
    • Lead negotiation strategy with procurement partners and suppliers. Establish collaborative stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships to maximize the organization’s influence. Develop key relationships with suppliers that deliver optimal value.
    • Delivers leading global category management and sourcing methodologies, and strategies across key categories.
    • Develops and implements a robust and repeatable spend database with full understanding of external spend. Delivers an improved vendor risk assessment framework and mitigation strategies to key strategic vendors.
    • Owns procurement governance forums and scorecards for decision making and performance monitoring.
    • Directs and drives procurement performance.
    • Establish key performance indicators and qualitative and quantitative metrics to capture, report, and evaluate the benefit and performance of all procurement activity.
    • Establish market intelligence, performance benchmarking information, and innovative approaches to market changes.
    • Accomplishes staff results by communicating updated organizational information, job expectations & supporting their work
    • Plans, monitors, and appraises direct reports including performance competencies, goals & job results
    • Coaches, counsels, and conducts disciplinary actions
    • Develops, coordinates, and follows organizational systems, policies, procedures, and follows labor and capacity standards.


    Experience / Education:

    • Minimum of 10 years of Procurement experience at a senior leadership level within a heavily regulated industry
    • Minimum bachelor’s degree

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    • Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
    • Need to be able to read, write and understand English
    • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
