  • Overview

    An Account Manager - Northeast serves as a key interface to uncover and cultivate client business opportunities that result in revenue for WuXi AppTec.  This is a remote (work from home) position (Boston, Philadelphia, New York and New Jersy are preferred locations).

    Responsibilities

    • Prospect companies who would benefit from WuXi AppTec’s services.
    • Present WuXi AppTec’s existing services to potential and existing clients, primarily through face to face sales calls.
    • Collect and disseminate accurate and complete information from clients to provide timely quotations for work.
    • Follow up on quotations for purposes of both gathering client feedback and expediting client decisions.
    • Attend relevant trade show meetings.
    • Complete paper work (i.e.: flashes, quote requests, and expense reports) and update Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool in a timely manner.
    • Grow revenue in respective geographic revenue at an appropriate rate in the appropriate manner

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in Life Sciences is highly preferred.  Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
    • 3 plus years of experience selling CRO services is required.  Prior selling experience to medical device customers is ideal, pharma / biopharma experience will also be considered.
    • Life Science and extensive and successful sales, territory management and business development experience.
    • Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate computer equipment and software (especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM tool).
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to receive and comprehend, and to effectively communicate detailed information through verbal and written communication.
    • Good computer/office software proficiency.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated success at managing multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to exhibit effective interpersonal skills.
    • Territory will be PA, NJ, NY, ME, VT, NH, MA, RI, CT.
    • Will travel up to 50% of the time.
