  • Overview

    The Master Planner is responsible for managing day-to-day supply operations including; master production planning, capacity planning, inventory planning, and order management to ensure material availability and on-time delivery for advanced therapies.  


    • Develop and maintain a master production plan by coordinating with Manufacturing, Project Management, and Supply Chain.  Prioritize requirements while balancing manufacturing capacity, operating efficiencies, and inventory levels.
    • Lead the interface within the supply chain (e.g. Project Management, Manufacturing, and Procurement) to develop appropriate material flow and production plans for new and current business.
    • Maintain accurate MRP system data to enable effective production schedules, purchasing requirements, and inventory levels.
    • Evaluate the effect of system and process changes as they affect the supply chain.
    • Provide direction to adequately plan and utilize capacity within the facility, and achieve 100% on-time delivery.
    • Develop and maintain metrics related to planning performance.
    • Actively and systematically look to improve business processes related to production planning, material planning, and inventory management.
    • Actively participate in continuous improvement opportunities.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
    • May be required to work Holidays and weekends
    • Other duties as assigned


    Experience / Education   

    • 5-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent
    • Bachelors’ degree in Materials Management, Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience
    • Preferred APICS certification



    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    • Proven experience with ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing environment
    • GMP/GLP experience preferred
    • SAP software experience preferred
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred
    • Must work effectively in a participative team environment
    • Delivers on commitments
    • Strong analytical, computer and organizational skills
    • Time management & multi-tasking ability
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Excellent presentation skills, written and oral
    • Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
