  • Environmental System Monitoring Analyst

  • Overview

    Performs daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of the Environmental Monitoring System (EMS).  Perform statistical evaluation of data from the EMS to evaluate equipment reliability, suitability, and proper response to out of specification conditions by end users.  Report finding and document the results consistent with all applicable quality standards according to schedule.  Ensure preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, proper operation and repair on equipment has a positive impact on equipment reliability.


    • Ensures that all equipment is properly monitored by the EMS system were required.
    • Create daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports of the EMS alarms and responses.
    • Provides consistent cGMP & GLP documentation practices as required.
    • Communicates with supervisor and other colleagues as required.
    • Communicates EMS needs to end users (Facilities, Metrology, Testing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Analytical Development, and PD).
    • Works on routine assignments per written procedures, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
    • Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.
    • May be required to work Holidays and weekends.
    • May be required to work Overtime.
    • Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals.
    • Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi AppTec Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • May be required to assist in other departments.





    Experience / Education   

    • 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent
    • Associates’ degree with a major in a technical discipline or equivalent experience


    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

    • Experience with REES, Elpro, Siemens or other validated EMS software is preferred.
    • Experience with basic statistical analysis and excel is required.
    • Must be able to work in a flexible, fast paced environment with multiple projects.
    • Prioritizing skills and candor a must!
    • Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills.
    • Need to be able to read, write and understand English.
    • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook).
