Senior Human Resources Manager - Couvet, Switzerland

Overview

Provide a broad range of Human Resources expertise to support the achievement of business objectives of the Couvet facility.  Participate as a member of the Couvet Leadership Team and partner with this team to provide HR leadership and guidance in all areas of HR, including harmonizing, planning and executing core HR processes and initiatives aligned with corporate and business unit goals.  Examples include talent/performance management, salary planning and other compensation-re lated processes, talent acquisition, policy interpretation, HR Information System data integrity and others.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with HR Leadership and Operations teams to assist with the planning, communicating and tracking of company-wide initiatives.
  • Serve as agent of change to support integration of facility into WuXi STA as well as for other business-related changes.
  • Conduct needs assessment and identify resources to deliver business-critical training and other programs to support the site. 
  • Partner with HR team members and HR Center Of Excellence (COE) leaders, including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, HRIS, Compensation and others to ensure seamless HR delivery to the Couvet team.
  • Coach and counsel leaders on a variety of HR-related practices.
  • Responsible for performance management process and systems, including providing training and guidance to management.
  • Address compensation-related issues to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition process for the Couvet site to ensure qualified candidates are hired in a timely manner and effectively onboarded.
  • Compile and leverage key site metrics to inform and/or persuade business leadership about organization and people performance and engagement.
  • Design, implement and continuously improve the New Hire Orientation Program.
  • Perform job-specific tasks in compliance with Swiss law, WuXi STA Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Partner with managers and employees to address employee relations issues.
  • Facilitate training for managers and individual contributors on HR programs and policies.
  • Design and/or implement programs in accordance with company-wide Human Resources policies, procedures and initiatives.
  • Participate on HR project teams to develop and/or improve HR-related programs and policies.
  • Document and implement local HR policies and processes.
  • Address compensation-related issues to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition process for the Couvet site to ensure qualified candidates are hired in a timely manner and effectively onboarded.

Qualifications

 

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources or other Business-related discipline, and/or 7-10 years in HR, including experience as a Business Partner as well as in at least one other area (HR Operations preferred)
  • Experience establishing and/or continuously improving HR-related processes preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/laboratory environment preferred
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)-related activities preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Swiss employment laws and remaining current on any changes
  • Cross-cultural experience and agility
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in both English and French
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop relationships with leaders as well as employees who work in various functional areas (Manufacturing/Operations, EHS, QC, QA, Finance, Procurement, IT, Technology, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
