Our New Jersey site specializes in small molecule bioanalytical, drug metabolism, and pharmacokinetic services to the pharmaceutical, animal health and agrochemical industries.  We are seeking an Associate Director of Fiinance  within our Finance/Accounting  group for both our  Plainsboro & Cranbury  sites.

Responsibilities

 

Job Summary:   The Associate Director of Finance position serves as the primary business partner for the New Jersey site within the Lab Testing Division business unit.  This position will be responsible for all aspects of financial and business reporting including but not limited to: monthly actuals, forecasting, budgeting, sales compensation, costing and pricing, business KPI’s, and competitor analysis. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for preparing full budget cycle and monitoring of budget vs. actual performance.
  • Ownership of costing models and annual costing updates
  • Develop and maintain monthly revenue and P&L forecasting
  • Coordinate with sales management on development and performance monitoring of compensation plans
  • Prepare project backlog reports and project profitability analysis
  • Assist operations in development of capacity and efficiency models
  • Provide revenue guidance to sales and operations based upon competitive / market review
  • Coordinate financial results with the US and China corporate finance teams
  • Interface with sales and sales systems to drive a long term forecast models
  • Monitor financial KPI’s and present to the leadership group
  • Develop and present financial results on a periodic basis.
  • Support business in preparation of fixed asset ROI analysis
  • Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial result packages including variance analysis
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Experience / Education

 

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant FP&A work experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience, 5 years within FP&A reporting roles
  • Direct experience working as a finance business partner preferred
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office–advanced experience with MS Excel
  • Experience with financial modeling, template creation, and working with large datasets
  • Capacity to prepare and present financial results to site management
  • Ability to interact, challenge, and communicate effectively with team members at all levels within organization
  • History of working closely with commercial & operational functions and demonstrate results delivery through those relationships

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Experience in working within ERP and reporting systems
  • Proficient in oral & written communication skills
  • Familiarity with ERP system - JDE preferred
  • Experience with LucaNet, Qlikview, and Hyperion preferred
  • Minimal travel may be required
  • Need to be able to read, write and understand English
  • Fluent in Mandarin is a plus
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Presentation skills
  • Self Starter with strong time management skills
  • Critical thinker

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in environment with minimal noise conditions
  • Ability to stand /sit/walk for long periods of time
